The motor serial number iS
FBKM 114526
Also I checked then head number
it is 8060 db.
I am chasing down problems I've
been having using This tractor
as a puller. Thank you keith

You have been pulling this tractor and you dont know if you have a H;M or ????Since you have the sn,the sn plate must still be there. The model will be on that plate

FBK = farmall M. FBKM = M engine. If both have X1 instead of XL after the serial number it means they were equipped for gasoline fuel. 8060DB is a gasoline head for a M. Would say it has original parts.

It's an M.

An M is such a simple tractor, though, that knowing it's an M really won't help you track down any problems you've been having. You'd have the same problems with a C or an H, and the solutions would be the same.

I know what the tractor is. I was.trying to find out if if the tractor was equipped high altitude high compression pistons if it"s the original block to the tractor looking at the casting numbers to try to find out what year the tractor the block is I was told 1948.

Tractor was assembled in September 1946 and the engine was installed in a tractor the same month.
Engine came with flat top cast iron pistons. Only way to know what's in it now is to look. Most have had the pistons changed several times by 2013.

The engine has been replaced. I.I.R.C...the serial number of the engine and tractor match each other on the Farmall H tractor.

To find out what pistons are inside, remove a spark plug and look in the cylinder.

Block casting number would be 6722DH. Head # 8060DB was used from the early forties to 1952 on M engines. Date code on block and head should end with a P for a September assembled tractor.
