How to tell the year of a 60 IH shredder?

I have a model 60 International shredder, serial number 0200312U001680. Is there anyway to tell the year of it? Thank you in advance.

If it has any cast parts, there might be date codes on them like the tractors.

Other than that, I do not know of any reference for implements. There are so few implements left as compared to tractors, that there isn't much call for that information so nobody has ever taken the time to publish it.

With all the different types of implements and all the different models, I'd imagine the reference would look like a stack of phone books.

I can't be more specific, but IH started using long alpha-numeric serial numbers like that in the early 70s.

Thank you both for your replies. I believe 1973 was the first year they made them. The CaseIH models are built the same, which I believe they were probably labeled such in 85 or 86.

1680 is the serial number, the numbers before the U are a product ID number. I hope you can get more info about it.
