IH 100 manure spreader

I used 1" pt. Keep it oiled with used oil once a year. It's been over ten years now and still looks good. Remember it's wider in the rear. I started on the outsides and cut the last piece for the center to fit. I used 1/4" carriage bolts and redrilled where needed.

My IH reference just says "wood impregnated with a preservative". Given the time, it could have been pine with creosote.

I used oak in mine, but it is only used for parade duty and is stored inside. Just be aware when you cut the new boards that the spreader bed is wider at the back so the outside boards need a slight taper.
