Mower on -4 Series

Cant seem to get any takers on my I-4, so I was wondering has anyone here put a belly mower, specifically a Woods 59 on a -4 series tractor? (I-4, W-4, etc)

They build those belly mowers that will fit on utility type tractors, so I don't know why one could not be adapted to your I-4. You will need a PTO. If yours does not already have it, I think the PTO for an H will fit.

I have the PTO, was just wondering if anyone has done it and could possibly post some pics. I can get the mower basically free, but since the tractor doesnt have hydraulics Id have to rig something up, and set up something for the PTO. Just looking for ideas if I cant sell this thing soon.

The drive pulley for a Woods 59 mounted on an H is 19" in diameter. This is to account for the slower 540 PTO, and to get the blades spinning fast enough.

The PTO on the -4 series is way too close to the ground to fit a 19" pulley. If it doesn't drag outright it will dig in when the front goes up a rise.

Actually the pulley isnt a problem, BUT the idler
pulleys to transfer the belt foward would be. Im
scrapping the idea for now, the mower simply wont
fit and mount without alot of modifications anyways.
maybe I can get it sold and by a Super A for the
mower!!

I personally wouldn't waste the time mounting a mower.

A 4 series isn't exactly nimble to mow grass with.
