Farmall h transmission noise

I got the transmission stuck in two gears or something. Did what was suggested on this site and pulled the shifter. I aligned the gears, put shifter Back in and it now shifts fine but there is a clunking noise when I let the clutch out either in gear or in neutral. Any one have any ideas what now might be the problem?

when you pried her into neutral.. did you check to see if she ate a gear tooth?

ford 4spds will do this whent he shift pattern gets very worn. if you catch it as soon as it happens and don't keep stress testing the tranny letting the clutch out.. sometiems you get lucky and have no stripped teeth.
