The canister is leaking oil. How can I repair it myself? I can not Braze it, but can it be soldered? Or could it be arc welded? Is there a patching material that will stand up to oil?
Thank you

patched my Super-A air cleaner bowl with JB Weld 8 years ago. no problems since.
clean it good and coat the whole inside.

Couple other thoughts, I do NOT know if they would work;
Spray-on truck bed coating, if you have a can laying around.
Red-Kote or whatever it"s called, gas tank coating.

Thank you everyone. Last night, as I laid in bed, it occurred to me to use the epoxy gas tank repair stuff that I have laying around here somewhere. When I see it again I will try it.

I would braze it if I had a torch, but I don't.

Thank you

I have successfully repaired pin holes in oil pans, valve covers and air filter cups with JB weld. I even repaired a quarter sized hole in the bottom of a fuel tank with it, although I also coated the inside with Red Kote fuel tank liner afterwards. None of those repairs have ever leaked.
