560 D missing

our 1958 560 starts and runs well,but misses at full throtle on the road and under heavy load in the field. If you back off a bit it seems fine, but it can't pull as good as it should.

Put it on a grinder or other ststionary load and crack the injector fittings at the pump one at a time. when the mis happend the engine will not change RPM, or very little. Change the injector in that cylinder to a different cylinder to see if the misfire follows the injector. If so replace it or have it rebuilt/serviced. If it does not, a compression check is in order. Possibly a timing issue ..the tractor is old, everything is worn ..scribe a mark on the injection pump housing, so you know where it was, and advance the timing some ..it should clear the "miss" up.
