Super M front steering bolster

Is there an alternative bushing and seal that anyone has used for the top bushing? CIH wants $42.00 for the bushing and $13.00 for the seal. A little expensive I think. Anyone have measurements of the bushing and number of the seal?

Seal price is normal, the bushing is a heavy duty steel back.

Bermuda Ken has a kit for those with bushings, seals, and thrust bearing.

The seal (IHC #70259D) crosses to SKF #15039. Also NAPA #15039 and several others (National, Timken, etc).

Can't help with the bushing - I purchased mine from CIH.

Be nice if you could find a bushing with a smaller ID than original, then size it to the shaft. Some shafts are worn and I'm not crazy about the last replacement bushings I got. One was the same ID as the one removed and another was actually a larger ID. Costly but to get the best results put in new bushings, measure ID and then have the shaft built up to size.

If you put a new bushing in and the shaft still moves front to back turn the shaft 1/4 turn and then try it. It will work some times but not all.
