360 suddenly slow to respond.

Hi
I fitted an D-360 in an Farmall 826 and every
thing worked fine until the engine suddenly stared
to act bad, one day the engine started to respond
exremely slow and the day before it reponded fast.
I did put new filters in it a month ago and I
checked the fuel return wich had started to leak
at the T the same day I got the problem (the reurn
goes both to the tak and back to the fuelpump).
Please help me if you can.

If the governor system in the injection pump is failing, it will be reluctant to respond to increased load. (dropping the field cultivator in the ground and have it atall.
If the issue is fuel delivery, the repair you made might have an effect. Be sure to consider re routing the fuel as it was prior to the Leak fix. Sorry others have not chimed in. Jim

Gratz on the engine refit 8)
Couple of things to look at here, the return fitting where it enters the tank has a check ball in it ..remove that ball. Next take the return fitting out of the injection pump and verify that the check has not came out of the fitting and fallen into the pump ..it can interfere with the throttle. There is a "new style" fitting that has only an orifice in the return fitting, also it is important to keep the "soft" style supply hose on this injection pump
