1. looks like it's all there.
2. looks really straight !!!

Enjoy, I have never regretted buying either of mine !!

Let the fun begin !!!

Thanks! It came from a good home, and i looked long and hard for a good one set up like i wanted. Such a neat little tractor, i took it around the section tonight when i got off work. It runs good, but had been sitting for awhile when i got it, and seems to me like it may need a tune up and a carb clean/kit. Other than that it seems real good. Factory TA delete, standard drawbar, three Hydra Touch controls, and its a distillate engine. Has a small tank on right side of big tank.

You will really like this tractor, i have one with power steering, 3 point and loader with hydraulic bucket. They are a very handy tractor.

I really like the T/A on my 400. You may want to add one to this tractor or keep looking for another with a T/A. Having two is twice the fun sometimes.

Looks like one that had care. Distillate manifold still there and distillate 300 models not to common.

The nice thing about the T/A is being able to have a low first or reverse. I find that useful when backing up trailers. And of course brute grunt in low first is nice for pulling anything.

I would suggest you run it for a while before you jump on a total redo of the carburetor. Do drain the carburetor bowl, the tank bowl and blow out the fuel line and try to put it under load for about a days work like pulling a 6-foot stalk cutter or bush hog. If it has been setting for a while you might have to drain the two bowls and blow out the fuel line several times. A thorough carburetor cleaning will not eliminate this unless you drain and flush the fuel tank first.

as quoted above .....the distillate option is pretty rare, they had pretty much gotten past that fuel by the time this one was built, but it was still an option.
The T/A delete is not quite as rare, but that was one of the big selling features for this model. Looks like the original owner ordered it special to bale with. Nice Find !!!
I have had two 55 F300's.
My first ( lost in a divorce but found a very happy home)
Had some very professional help on this one, still took the better part of three months.

Moved back to Texas and then found this one in Michigan.
It belonged to a dealer near Osseo, he used it as a demonstrator and ended up keeping it for himself, I got it from his son when the local dealer closed. I called & he said it was going in an auction that Saturday, I placed a pretty low bid & danged if I didn't get it. Great shape & purrs like a kitten, I really just had to have another F300. T/A, early FH, 3 remotes, love that live PTO disc brakes.

Beautiful tractors! You are correct, this one spent many years hooked to a square baler. Previous owner told me that it never got unhooked and also said that he could bale all afternoon on not alot of fuel. I would like to find some fenders for it sooner or later.

I guess i can wait til we plow, which will be in a few weeks. But the tank is clean as a whistle and the gas is new and fresh. I cant get the carb to adjust at all, turning the screws dont make any difference. Last night i didnt shut gas off right away and i had gas running out of the carb onto the ground. So i suspect the needle and seat are not doing there job.

Don't waste your money, they all do exactly that when you leave the gas on.
I usuallly idle mine down, let it cool down for a few minutes, turn the gas off, count to 8 and turn off the key.
1. This leave enough fuel in the carb for the next quick start.
2. But not enough to flood any internals.
No problems in three years, each one has it's own personality on starting procedures, the above has worked for me on this one.
My first F300 wouldn't start unless you removed the air intake hose & covered the intake with your hand while cranking, after it started it would be fine all day, once it cooled completely off, you were back to removing the air cleaner hose again.
