I am changing bull piniin shaft bearing. The one I removed had st227 on bearing. 15 balls in it. The one napa got in was there part number and it had only 10 balls. Same dimensions. Does any One know what new part number is so I can get a high capacity bearing with 15 balls to replace it with. My book shows. St269 but I dont know if it is high capacity. Thanks. Matt

I am sure it is. All IH tractor bearings are metric and usually very common numbers. Do not accept a Bearing from China. They just do not do it right for export. Japaneese and Korean (as well as US and European bearings are great. Jim

You seriously think he could wear out a China bearing that was properly cared for?

If care means running it with the rear wheels off the ground doing belt work, or PTO work, They might last 6 months. Jim

They run in an oil bath and barely turn. I doubt they would be that inferior. I have seen what comes out of the rear end of a tractor that appears to be fully functioning on the exterior.
