just got my starter drive that came from the parts store of this site part # 565549 this part looks very different than the old one It may work if i can figure out how to put it on the starter shaft
the set screw head is inaccesable anyone done this??

It is the new (nmuch Better) style. There are usually directions in the box. I think (barely remember) that a sleeve is moved to get access to the screw. Jim

The drive you received is the original style.

To remove the newer style drive you need to move the washer that covers the set screw toward the gear. I usually use a couple of screw drivers to pry it forward and then hold it with one of them as I loosen the screw. Once the screw is far enough out it will keep the washer from returning all the way back. If you are going to reinstall the same drive do not take the screw all the way out,

You can use the older style drive but you will be missing two stop washers that keep the drive from going to far forward. The newer style drive does not use them.
