F12 axle diameters vs farmall M

I m having trouble finding a used 40" tire for my F12 so I was offered a Farmall M for the rims and tires with 38" wheels... will they fit my axles? I want rubber tires BC I run it on the road. Metal wheels wont work. I was told 40s didn't come on IH.. mostly on Olivers.

Wont work, but H cast centers will fit the 14 axles. Miller has new ones, which is what I did because I couldn't find used 40inch tires. 40s were on the 12s and 14s from the factory as optional, so whoever told you that is mistaken.

an h has 2 1/2" axles a f-12 or 14 has 2 5/8" axles and an m has 2 3/4" axles.

I don't recall if Fawteen had to do anything special, or he just bolted them on.

Randy is right on the money. An M hub is to big. You can't tighten it down. I have cut 40's and put 38's on the centers.

Early Case cast centers will also fit, can't remember the exact model.
