300 Power Steering

[b:d61b8e581c]Thinking about installing power steering on my '54 300. Is Char-Lynn better than Behlen or the other way around or are they peas in a pod? I've seen a bunch of units off M's. Will this bolt up or will I have to make some brackets? Last, which brand is easier to find parts for if I come across a partial unit?

the char lynn units are still available new. steiners sells all the parts you need, if your 300 has a live hydraulic pump, there is a valve that you install to supply hydraulic pressure to the char lynn torque generator. the torque generators are spendy new, about 600 or so. you will need the torque generator, coupling, gauge/mounting bracket and priority valve for the install.
