1950 Farmall H Value

I wondered what price I should ask for my laid up 1950 Farmall H. In good shape, except it needs someone with more mechanical abilities than I have to get it running again.

You don't have to be a mechanic to get it running if it isn't stuck bad. I am not the most knowledgeable but I have the tools and folks here talk me through pretty much everything I need to get done. If it turns freely it's pretty much a matter of getting air, fuel and spark to come together at the right place and time. A few hours could net you a few hundred more for it.

Your location will matter as well. If it's not running but looks pretty good, around here they'd probably still only get 5 or 600. An M could possibly garner more.

I'd definitely spend the time to get it running, even if it's not running well. Then maybe you'd even be inclined to keep it :)

Do like I do. Set the price at $1500 and run the ad for a couple of weeks. If you don't get any calls then drop to $1000 for a couple of weeks. After that go to $800 for a couple of weeks.
Most everbody out there these days wants everything for nothing with a written guarantee.
