Not me - my H and M - both made in 1943.They still go to the field and do what they were made to do a long time ago.Anybody think today's tractors will do that 70 years from now?

I know this is an IH forum and I have 2 as well as 7 other tractors. But just an example of the cheapening of tractors, I have 2 Kubotas a 1991 L2850 and a 2004 L3400 both around 34 gross engine HP. The 2850 is twice the tractor the 3400 is. You can see and feel the difference. IMO

NO. Its extremely hard to beat simple design and over engineered when it comes to useful longevity.

With care and regular maintenance they probably still be going at a 100.
Wonder where simply and solid engineering got lost over the years?

Dad bought a 36 F-20 in 1956 and told me this tractor already has outlasted two farmers and it will out last you. Huh! Think he seen me cranking it one day and I only weighted 90 pound. A year later traded it for a M

My Super M turned 60 this year. But mine is retired and has a pampered life now.
