Grinding sound from transmission case

I know I have read about this on here before but I cant seem to find it, but I have a grinding type noise that comes from the transmission case of a BN when it is in neutral. It seems to get a little better when I push the clutch in. Is this something to worry about and if so, what needs to be replaced? It was making this noise both before and after I changed the tranny oil.

When you changed the fluid, was there any bits of metal in the bottom?
If so and they are aluminum, it could be the decomposition of the oil slinger. If steel fragments it could be the front bearing, or intermediate bearing. Jim
