belly pump plumbing question

We just re-discovered a JD 606 rotary cutter tow behind on the farm. My question is, I intend on putting a Saginaw hitch on the M but the rotary cutter is a tow behind and needs hydraulics for the single ram...can I hook up a Saginaw hitch and the cutter at the same time or am I going to have to switch between the two? (The cutter has a ram with two hoses and I'm unsure how the hitch is plumbed) thanks folks, ~Anthony

I do not know if there is a way to run them both at once but I think not unless you set it up so you have two valves, one for each. It is not that hard or expensive to use quick couplers, and then all you have to do is hook up whichever you need.

I think you can run both but will take some additional plumbing and a double valve. There should be a picture of plumbing needed in archives. You will need the additional plumbing and one valve to run double acting cylinder on mower so easier to just add a 2 valve unit.

Cheapest way if the mower cylinder only uses one hose with gravity down and you have a drawbar on with the 3 point. Put a quick coupler in the line to 3 point cylinder to change from one to the other. Or if you have a double acting valve to the 3 point and one line to mower. Hook on another side port of the liftall and use it to raise and lower the mower.
Depends on the plumbing, you may still need a disconnect or a shut off to the double acting valve if used that way. Or you can get a valve to switch one valve to two circuits, but more plumbing and cost.

Install a 2 spool hydraulic valve controller. One lever for the Saginaw, one lever for the 2 way cylinder on the rotary cutter.

Put a turn buckle top link on the mower instead of the cylinder. it will still adjust, but not as handy. Jim

As was said, there are two ways to go...One,is to plumb in a spool valve to give service to both places.I have this 'feature' on my SM.Two,(the most simple/cheapest) is to put a 'quik couple' in the hose.Simply unplug the three point and plug in the mower.I use this method on my SH.
