shipping parts

Found a new way to ship parts in a timely fashion. I sold a set of 400 frame weights to a guy in central Ill. They weighed in at 116.2#'s each. The freight companies wanted close to 300.00 plus to ship them. They guy who bought them asked if there was a Fastenal store close and they would ship them to his store close to him. As it turns out I had a store 2 miles from me. Cost 170.00 bucks and I didn't even have to put them on a pallet.
Thought I might put that word out there. I guess they just started doing this in the last month, but they use their own fleet for the transfers

Good tip !

Will remember that. Only thing I would want to know if I am covered if something lost or damaged ?

Shipping your weights or an anvil would not be a problem on damage but tractor hood or fender could be a problem.

Fastenal has been doing this a long time. I had an old engine shipped that way about three years ago. Weighed 1000 lbs!
