I just tried my sprayer on the 300. Only 1 hose hooked up. it raised alright for the boom, but was terribly slow lowering. I have also used it on my disk with two hoses, same. Raised ok, lowered slow. I have tried it in single and double acting Same results. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you are using double action cylinders with only one hose attached, the down connection should have a vent in it. It will then lower by gravity, meaning fast. If you attach a hose to the down connection up and down are about the same speed.

Why is this so slow lowering with 2 hoses connected?

The valves could be set for single action. Could also be a problem with the valve.

They came from the factory with a retarder valve plumbed into the return line. Most have been removed over the years. Any extra "fittings" on either lines on your tractor?
