Farmall H Remote Control Valve

Hi,
I have a 1948 Farmall H that I want to put a Remote Control valve on. Does anyone know of any places online that may have one in stock? Lastly if I find one that came off a Farmall M will it still work on the H or are they completely different. Thank you

Valves are the same. If you get one from a M with fittings. Change the pipe nipple to 1 X 1 under the valve and put a 3/4 X 3 nipple in where the present 3-1/4 long fill pipe is. Those changes make it H size. But also the valve support straps on top are different. Best to get the special connection fittings with the valve. They can be installed without having the original fittings, but easier with.

If having a remote control valve is your only goal, check out Burden's Surplus (do a google search), or visit your local farm supply store. Niether place will have the original style "christmas tree" valves, but they will have something that is equal in performance.

If an original is what you want, it will have to be a used one because those have not been manufactured for at least 40 years.
