450 rings

Have M+W pistons in my 450 and need new rings and a
new sleeve. If I order the ones from ytmag will they
work? Or should I put new pistons and sleeves in and
get rid of the M+W's. Not going to run to hard just
run around the timber for firewood.

Measure your ring to see how thick they are before ordering new ones and how many.

You may be able to use the rings, but checking type and measuring should be done. M&W used some with 3/32 wide rings in the top 3 groves and a 1/4 oil control. Should be a number on the M&W piston. Replacing with a P&S set is always the best option if quality parts are used. But not sure where to find quality parts for these old engines anymore.
