Was there ever a 330 or 300 U High Crop or Vision made? I have a friend selling what he claims is a 330 high crop. It has 330 badges and a nice set of high crop wheels. The front end and final drives look factory made but I can't find any casting #'s. Thanks for any help.

Without checking into it. I'm thinking they only made them in 350 models. Never heard of a 330 anyway.
J&L machine in Louisiana made some special high utility tractors for cane crops in the fifties. Don't know if a 330 was ever used.
Can you find a serial number plate on the right side of the clutch housing just to rear of the engine. Right side like sitting in the seat?

(quoted from post at 11:08:02 09/08/13) 300, yes; 330, not sure.[/quot

I`m assuming you`re talking the Hi-Utilities. There were 350 Hi-Utilities made , but there were no 300 or 330 Hi -Utilities according to Guy Fay`s Tractor Data book.

Yes, I remembered the 350 after I posted--the 350U also came in a wheatland version, the 300 did not. The 460U also came as a Hi utility and wheatland, I have a 460 Hi Utility. As I get older for some reason my memory gets less.

A high crop will have 38 inch rear rims, on a sliding wheel on the axle; regular utility will have 28 inch rims and is not adjustable on the axle except for dishing in or out. Except for straddling the transmission, the engine back is the same as the 350 row crop.

It is surely a 350 high utility. Rear wheels look like ones off an H on an adjustable axle. Serial number is 7383. Has tourqe amplifier but not sure if it works. Also has the hydraulics but they are not working either. It runs but needs work. Needs a new grill, rebuilt starter, and the issues above addressed. He is asking $800. I am a JD guy and not sure of there is any deal to be had here after just mechanical repairs.

The numbers are less than 1900 units total 877 gasoline remainder diesel. If pretty clean with good tires and steering, probably between 3000 and 4000. Pretty rare, and desirable. If real rough, maybe 1000 unless the tires are trash. Jim

The rear tires are mistmatched, weather checked, and aboout 30% tread. All the hood emblems are there and in good condition. The sheet metal is all nice except for the front grill. The front end has no welds on it at all. If anyone else is interested in this tractor I will pass along the information. To me it is a project and to my wife that makes buyin it a NO! Tractor is locted in Massachusetts.
