Cub Farmall PTO pulley needed

So a friend of mine was mowing with his cub and the PTO pulley flew off and well lets just say is AWOL and so he needs a pulley to replace it. This cub has a belly mower under it. Not really a brush hog but heavier then a finish mower. Any idea of where a guy might find this pulley. If I remember right it is about 4 or 5 inches in diameter.
Thanks

I think I have one out in the shop. I don't have the spline part just the pulley. I am just south of Springfield Mo

Grainger will have pulley and splined hub, probably cheaper than an IH dealer, if that is any help. About 18-19 years ago I paid over $100 for one at IH dealer. Should have shopped around! No internet then.

I've got a good pulley for $150. and I'll through in the Woods 42" mower and mounts all in great condition. 60 miles more or less NW of St. Louis. Mike

You may want to check ebay for the pulley for the Woods mower.
Last time I looked there was a couple complete new and used ones listed.

Why not go look for it . I m sure it did not roll more than a mile or two , it s not like it rolled to Denver . For the price of them I could do alot of looking .

What do you think he did?? He used a metal detector but his place has so much old iron in the filed what was a waste of time. Some how when a pulley like that roll off into hip high weeds and grass you not likely to find any thing till the middle of winter if even then

This is an old old place so it has fence wire parts of this and that all over the place but nothing big enough to be worth the time to try to dig up. Think of it this way if you took a 50lbs box of nails out in a field and throw them out in say 40 acres how that would do funny things to a medal detector. That is about what his place is like. Sort of like my place. had many old cars etc on it years ago and they are gone now but you have this small part laying here and there all over but nothing big enough to be much of any thing

If it helps any, since a cub pto turns CCW, the pulley should have gone to the left, and turning at 1800 rpm it could cover some distance unless the belt deflected it.

Yep that is the problem. The belt popped off and then the pulley slipped off and went who knows how far when it hit the ground plus who knows what it hit when it took a hike so in turn it could have gone a long ways plus this place has a river flowing down one side of it so if it went in the river then we had that 15 inches of rain in one week and that in turn flooded the river it could well be in the ocean by now

It would of had to came straight back before rolling or it would have hit the tire , fender , drawbar or mower brackets slowing it down alot .
