560/460 sheetmetal

I found a 560 LP tractor that has been converted to gas. Looks like they are using the propane tank for a gas tank. I have sheet metal and a gas tank from a 460 that I'm hoping will fit. Mainly the hood and gas tank, cross member and such. Are the tractors compatible that way or will I need to find a 560 parts tractor.
Are the heads on that LP engine higher compression than a gas engine?

Tracy, cant help on the tin/sheet metal....But yes,LP heads are higher compression.Common deal to put a 'propane' head on a gas tractor to add power......Steve

Steve did you see that little 340 row crop I purchased about a month ago. Nice little tractor

The 560 front hood and front side panels are longer than a 460"s. I"m not sure about the gas tank size and brackets. Also the exhaust comes out further ahead on both the 560 and 460 propane tractors. The battery covers and the rear side panels are the same from a 460 to a 560. Hope this info helps.

yes it does, the parts you mentioned hood and lower panels are what I have extra as well as a tank and the cross over bracket, all from a 460. I have an exhaust manifold to put the muffler where it is on a gasser, looks like if I go this route I gotta buy some sheetmetal
