Duals for 1586

Another question, and I hope I don't drive y'all crazy this weekend but I knowledge is power and I'm not feeling very powerful when it comes to these bigger tractors. Of the two tractors I am looking at, one has duals and one has 10 hole hubs for duals but no rims/tires. The tractor without duals has 20.8 x 38 tires on it which are well used but not weathered, cracked, etc. I see what I need advertised around but not sure what a fair price for a decent set of hubs and tires (in average condition, not new)would be. What is the value of the duals and is there anything to watch out for...like are there more than one kind, etc? Hope this makes sense!

I imagine most big tractor salvage places would have wheels that mount on your hubs. If your current tires are worn, put them to the outside and get new or better ones for inside.
Only advice I can give on duals if you've never used them, is the outer tires should have a couple of pounds less air pressure than the inner ones. Being farther out, you more leverage going over rough places and you need a little extra cushion so you don't break an axle.

Mr. Dave, I have a similar issue with my 1586, and I am in need of a replacement hub on one side. It is for the 38 inch rims. Did you have any luck finding hubs for your tractor? Because if you did, I would like to ask you where you found them, and how much they were asking for a hub. Hope this isn"t much of an imposition, but I"m like you, I don"t know much about these bigger tractors, I"m mostly into my old 450 LP, not this "newer" stuff! Feel free to email me, the email is open. Thanks a million, Hugh
