B275 diesel bleed

Does this motor need to be purged of air after running out of fuel? I ran it dry this morning and haven't been able to tell if its getting fuel or not since.

Yes, will be hard to start after running dry...
remove the fuel line after the injector pump and
crank it to remove air up to that point, dont crank
solid or you will heat up the starter and then have
another problem... maybe try some starting fluid to
help it along, I"ve run my diesel out of fuel before
and have done this to get it going

Open banjo bolt at spill pipe connection on top of fuel filter, use primer until fuel flows, tighten banjo bolt. Next do the same with inlet connection at top of injector. Next do same with lower vent screw on injector. Next do same with upper vent screw on injector. Repeat last two steps. Next set throttle fully open and slacken all unions at injectors. Turn engine over with starter a few seconds, then tighten injector unions. Start up engine, if it runs uneven, slacken injector unions, one at a time, for a few seconds, then retighten.
