My Old Workhorses, with pic

Here is my SM, and 2 SHs, all 1953 model year. Missing from the photo is a Regular, straight H and a Ford. May soon be adding a WD if I can make a deal on it with the nieghbor. I would like to find a B Farmall too someday for the little jobs and for the kids and wife to handle. These 3 are the ones that do the work , and their appearence does nothing to show the usefullness and reliability of the old girls ! Anyway, had them out so thought I would snap a pic.

Mike, I like old tractors in their work clothes.

Nice line up of tractors. I was raised on a Regular and owned H, M, SM. & F-20.

Your line up fits with the kidding I give my John Deere friends. At some shows the JD"s outnumber the IH"s. I say that is because we are still using ours ! ☺ ☺

Thanks for the pictures.

Bill

Thanks Bill, I like them in work clothes too. They are all very good mechanically with good rubber. The SH without loader was bought new by my Grandfather, the SM my Dad bought at a farm auction in 1963, and the loader SH was the first tractor I ever bought on my own. So they all have sentimental value to me as well.

"Super-H-Mike"; Thanks for sharing. I don't mind seeing them in their work clothes either. I also like the Dutch-gambrel roof with green shingles and white fence. Days gone bye, white fences were much more common. Yup, I know they served a purpose then, just reminiscing.

Thanks Al L. This old farm is where I was born and raised, my kids are 5th generation to live here , I know that doesnt mean squat to anyone but me... but I sure do feel all that history and tradition when I walk this old place. In my life I have been a full time farmer, then a part time farmer, and now I am more or less a hobby farmer... but I cant seem to give it up completely ! Mike
