Where do i fill my hyd in my early 560? The fast hitch hyd is jerky and starting to whine and now the steering is getting a little weak. It has a leak, but Ive never had to fill it since ive owned it. Thanks!!

look to the right of the gearshift. There is a little triangular shaped plate. That is the fillport. On the leftside below the clutch pedal is the level checkplug. Its ok to add 2-3 extra gallon(up to 5) of fluid after it starts to run out.You should order a book. These guys(YT) have them.

Use any good hyd fluid, you might want to consider changing the entire 15 gal, its probably needing change, water is the worst contaminate, it will make it milky. IH wanted it changed yearly, also the filter.

Filter is under a 6 sided plate under the brake pedals.Take the serial number with you as there is a sn break on that filter.3 filters are possible. On an old 560,you can use HyTran, or any comparable hydralic/gear oil.NAPA;Wal-mart;TSC;JohnDeere.....As was said,it would be a good idea to change the old oil.

Just a word of warning.

When you take the triangle plate off to fill the rearend....lay the three bolts on the work bench...on your truck hood...or hire a kid to hold them. DO NOT LEAVE THEM ON THE TRACTOR PLATFORM.

If you do.....you will be back for instructions on PTO removal so you can fish a bolt out of the rearend housing!

Don't ask how I know (LoL)

Get a 388084R93 CNH filter, comes with gasket the shape of cover, there are exceptions but this will be by far most common.
