A little progress on my M, bringing her back to life

This is the first pc I posted June of last year right after acquisition.

This is how she looks now after several buckets of sweat. So, Ive been busy. The paint looks a bit on the orange side, but not so in person. It's the flash of the camera that does that I guess. Some might say that it might be a bit on the light side, but I like it just fine. No ruby or cherry in the paint at all like some pictures of Farmalls that I've seen. Probably not totally correct, but to me it's a good true red color.IMHO. Oh BTW it's rustoleum 'sunrise red' all done with spray cans.

This has been a solo project. I ain't had help from nobody except the fine folks here on this forum.

I'll have to drop that oil pan one more time for very minor repair. Then I'll give it a good dose of the sunrise red. Boy howdy, that paint shines nice.

I didn't know it was being offered by rustoleum or else I would have given it a try. Believe me I, tried a bunch of different kinds of reds and I finally settled on this one. I bought a qt. of it at lowes and will be doing the sheet metal with my cheapie HF gravity feed spray gun.

Man thats a rattle can job?

Yeppers. Seems like the local walmart store has an unlimited supply of that stuff. I have been buying a bunch and lost count as to how many. The best part is that they come in 25% extra bonus tall cans for the same price as the regular size cans, $3.77, for that particular color. So you could say you get a free can for every 4 you buy. Believe me, you'll need a lot more than 4 cans.

One of the things I like about rattle cans is that you don't have to worry about moisture getting in with your paint. {horrors!) The humidity down here is south Texas is terrible. I will have to go shopping for a good moisture trap when it comes time to do the sheet metal. I bought one from
Tractor Supply a while back, but it don't work for sh--.
