Adding 3 point to 544

Looking at a pretty clean, honest little 544 row crop, but just a drawbar. No rock shaft or 3 point.
Never tried to add one on something that had factory option for it. What would it take to install an IH 3 point?

Well, if it's like the 706 and 806, there are the slipins for the fast hitch. I've never really paid much attention to the brackets and such, but it's identical on our 806 and my uncle's 706. I noticed there is a conversion kit offered on here for the 544 as well. This weekend, if your question doesn't get answered sooner, I'll snap a picture.

AHHHH I see. I had heard the 544 was darn near identical to the 656/756/etc... in many aspects. IF that's the case, you may be able to add the components from one.

Does it have an hydraulics at all?

The 544 is completely different from the 706/806 and other "large frame" IH tractors.

It is actually the same rear end as the 656.

IIRC, the 3pt rockshaft, cylinder, and controls are all in a housing that sets on top of the differential housing, under the seat.

Easiest way to add would be to harvest that housing with everything installed, and transplant it to your tractor.

I have a 544 Hydro junked out because the Hydro was bad. It has all the 3ph setup there if you are interested. Don't know where you are but I am in Maine.

Do you want to sell any other parts off that 544? I have a gear drive utility but there should be some stuff I can use.
