Problem with 806 Throttle levers?

While I've been contemplating switching over to 856 shifters on the 806, I also read where people also switch throttle levers. What's the main issue with the 806 levers?

They're cast, like the shift levers. Not really a problem, but after updating the shifting guts and ending up with shiny 56-series shifting controls as a bonus, some instantly crave 4 shiny levers, TA, throttle, and shfters.

Ahh OK. I've had problems with the shifters which is why I've thought about replacing them. Throttles been fine.

I have FIXED many 06 shifters over the years and have done this for a lot less then switching to the 56 shifters . Figure out what is wore and fix that . A couple new headed pins a couple ball joints and if your having a problem with reverse then ya got to dig deeper , this will require maybe a new shifting fork and reverse shift shaft and a new key and maybe a new cover for the range transmission some new rollers as they may have been broken from SLAM SHIFTING and the biggest help to the shifting of the 06 is proper DUMP VALVE and clutch adjustment . Changing over to a 56 shifter is not just the levers alone .

Yes, not shifters alone.

But, before I go buying several parts to repair the 06 shifter, I wanted to get prices to convert to the 56 shifter. The HLRN shifter was actually broke at one point and welded back together, so I'd like to replace it at the least.

The best fix is the conversion. I have an 806 that I worked on over the years never was a good fix that lasted for the long term. Yes replaced covers, pivots, rollers, spring, forks ,shafts, even had the lid bored and bushed. All would last for a year or two. Since I converted to the 56 shifter. I haven't worked on it in 3+ years. I have owned the tractor since 1978.
