Why would the tractor still draw juice from the battery if the key is off. And is the battery supposed to work even when the battery is hooked up backwards because thats the way it was when I purchased it

Well since you did not say what voltage it is set up as and from what you did say I will guess it is 6 volts with a generator set up. Sounds like your VR point have welded up so yes will drain the battery when not running

No, it should not drain the battery with the key off. The battery will run the tractor hooked up either way (for a while anyway) But it probably won't charge right. Just what is your problem? maybe somebody can give clearer suggestions.

Thank you for the comments. We did get told the voltage regulator was stuck so we checked that out and sure enough it was that is working fine now Thanks again Brad
