WOW... an RD450 in a pickup? Dad used to haul livestock for a guy who had several CO-190 single axle semi-tractor's with RD450's & 5+2's. Not the fastest truck on the road especially loaded to 45,000-55,000# gross, but in a pickup they'd have ALL KINDS of get up and GO!

Had a 450 in a R190 and pulled a 27 foot trailer. Hauled 18 tons. Always got 3 MPG. Those were the days.

We re-used all the original bed parts. Narrowed the front panel, shortened the side panels-- used the "trimmings" to make a tailgate. Modeled it after the famous 1949 REO Speedwagon pickup truck. Removed rivets in a rear wheel, flipped the inner bolt plate to make an attractive single rear.
