IH 460 fast hitch with swinging drawbar?

Hello all,

Does anyone know if it is feasible to add a swinging drawbar which would attach to the belly of the tractor on an IH 460 currently equipped with a fast hitch? We need a straight drawbar (not the "horse shoe" or "U" shaped drawbar typically seen mounted to the fast hitch), to hook up a JD mower conditioner that requires a fixed height drawbar. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer!

IH made a swinging drawbar to be used in addition to the fast hitch. They didn't seem to be very popular, but I've seen a few of them.

You can move the fast hitch lift links to holes near the top lift shaft ends. That sets the hitch at one height. Then bolt a extension to the fast hitch slide in drawbar. You will still have some slop that way. Even if you find a swinging drawbar that was made for the fast hitch. It only attaches to the fast hitch and you still get movement. Other option and the most steady is to remove the fast hitch and install a standard drawbar set up for the tractor or off some older models like 350, 300, SH or maybe a H. But the original H drawbars are a little less heavy than the others.

Here is some farmerneering on a 460 I purchased
It was rigid solid when they where done. I moved it to another 460 and use it regularly. Even at tractor pulls
