A verses BN

I know the differences between my A and my BN as far as the steering, frt ends and the addition of a extended left axle but I don't know why there are different part nos for the platform where your feet go? My TC-26A parts catalog shows the A takes a 48699DX and the BN takes a 58845DX. I was thinking they should be the same except maybe for some hole drillings but the distance between the holes where they mount to the axle housing are different. I discovered this while using a platform from a A to add to my BN so I can add a additional seat over the LH axle. Any thoughts are appreciated...Fred

If I recall correctly the difference is that an A has the same right axle length as a B which is longer by 4 inches (or close) to the axle housing in a BN (narrow) Jim

Yes the holes are a little different thats why part#s are diferent but that wont stop from adding the pan to the left diff housing. I heat up the pan and bend so it will fit the hole where the bolt goes holding fender just use a longer bolt when done. Do the same when using the B pan. Never did bolt the back to the diff housing as there isnt any bosses there to bolt fast anyway.

No, the A & BN both have an 18 inch long right side Differential Shaft Housing. Those housings, although the same length, are not exactly the same. The BN Differential Shaft Housing has places underneath to attach cultivators, the A does not.
