Well I know your some place down south of me and may or may not be looking for a boat right now. So how is it down your way. Me I can not go out of my place with out a truck and it is a rough ride

Ya the lake is at flood stage and all the flood gates are wide open and it is a muddy brown in color. I-44 is closed as in a number of other hwy's in the areas around me

It was a little green when we were there, but not as bad as the rivers here. I do not think there was much water going over the dam.

Thanks for checking but we are still riding it out and got another 5+" last night between midnight and 6:00 a.m. Seems like at last count something over 10" in the past week. Road got washed out a little last night and lost both cattle gates crossing the creek but the water is still high enough the cattle would need scuba gear to get out. Hope to be able to get them back up tomorrow or will move the cattle to another field away from the creek.
Hope you had a good hay year as everyone around this part of the state seems to have had a bumper crop. My red clover could be cut again as it has grown back to knee high since it was mowed in mid-June. Yards are still green and not the usual dormant brown like most years around here. Still having to mow the lawn every week or 10 days at most.
Take care up by the lake and try and stay dry as it doesn"t appear the end is near, Hal.

Ya tried to find your phone number in my paper work and did not find it because if I had I would have called you to make sure you where ok. Good hay crop this year but last night got a flood that got into the hay barn so the bottoms of all that hay got wet. So the bottom layer of rounds may not be real good. I put them all on a double stack of pallets so lots of air under them but still not high enough to keep the bottoms dry. As I said if I still had your number would have rang your bell to make sure you where not needed a boat since I do have 4 here LOL

Wow! Sounds like you are getting even more rain than us here in east TN. We already have the normal annual amount as of the end of July. Seems to have slacked off some recently and grass started to look a little like normal summertime. But....now it's raining again.

Don, We had another 2.5" this morning in about an hour and Dry Fork is running very high and almost up to the bridge deck on Highway 72 down by Green Acres. My BIL was coming back from town yesterday and said people were parked and walking back to the bridge to see the water and debris going by. Of course all the fields along side of the highway there were under water as well. I-44 was closed for two days (open again now) down where the Little Piney flows into the Gasconade River at Jerome as water was about 5 feet over the roadway there. More rain is expected tonight and for the next couple of days. Both of my water gates across Dry Fork are headed to St. Louis I guess by now as they are long gone. Moved the cattle into other areas away from the creek for now until the water goes down enough to build new ones. Take care and stay dry, Hal.
