What would this plow be worth?

Looking at this international plow, the guy says it is in good working condition and tires are in good shape.

It is missing coulters, has no tail wheel and has mechanical lift on axle making it a trip plow. At auctions I hear people gripe that plows should not sell for more than $100 per bottom. But in this case I would offer much less. I purchased a 2X14 Moline, tail wheel and coulters with a mechanical axle lift for $5. The lift was out of alignment so had to give that some attentions, but got the plow because the frame was so dang thick.. Trailer plows are tricky in my opinion to get set right. Getting the draft line set up correct to your drawbar and vertical height adjuster on the plow frame. The two levers are for setting depth, and for setting forward angle when cutting a new headland. Make sure they work good.

I don't know if it should have a tail wheel on that model or not, nor do I know what year it is, perhaps someone more knowledgable on IH equipment will chime in.

That is a Little Wonder, but I couldn't give the model number off the top of my head. They did not come with a tail wheel but it was an option for at least some versions of the Little Wonder. When equipped with one, the tail wheel was only in play while plowing. When the plow was raised, the tail wheel lifted off the ground.

#3 made from1940-1955. A rolling cutter and joiner were options also rubber tires. This is from the parts book covering plows

That plow looks like a No. 2 Little Wonder, made from the mid-1920's until the early 1940's, but it's hard to tell from the picture.

Tail wheel was an option, rear bottom should have a rather long landside if not equipped with the wheel.

Without coulters that plow will work but leave the furrow real "dirty". If you buy it you can look for coulters and brackets so you can do a better job of plowing, and those are available if you keep looking.

Those trailer plows are very easy to set up; if you buy it and need help in aligning it, I will be happy to help you.

If the hitch mechanism does not work spray it with a good oil penetrator and keep trying to make the parts move...it should come loose and be a good hitch.

The plow has possibilities.

This is a #2 McCormick-Deering/ P&O. You can tell by the hitch and levers. Tail wheel was a optional. Price $150-$200. Don't find many of these plows. Steve (Plowman) Smith
