Farmall H hydraulic pump

I have to do work on hydraulic pump on Farmall H and it will take awhile. Are there precautions to take while using tractor without the pump? Thanks

Just remove the drive shaft along with the pump and you will be fine. Just don't use anything with a hydraulic cylinder in the meantime.

The hydraulic system is completely self-contained in the belly of the tractor on these. Not having/using it will not affect the rest of the tractor's operational ability.

Are you removing the belly pump unit, or leaving it in place and just not using the hydraulics?
