I have been noticing my 140 has seem to be losing a little power seems I have replaced the governor spring in it I havent adjusted the links wondering of that's what is wrong I takes a minute to catch up with the throttle and it gets the rpms get way faster than what they should be but when you slow it down all the way it sounds like its at about half throttle. What's wrong with it just needs to be adjusted some.? Its a 1961 farmall140

You dont adjust the gov but you do adjust the linkage going to the carb. With engine off remove the pin in the clevis now open throttle and adjust the clevis so th pin goes in hold the carb open. If the input shaft wobbles a bushing can be installed so that shaft just moves back and forth. Are the springs loose on the throttle rod that connects to that shaft sometimes they are coated with paint and or rust. Is the spring in the gov good.
