I just pulled my neighbors tractor out of the field to use it its been setting about 3 years . Bad fuel so I dumped the tanks , took off both fuel filters cleaned and put back on . Got fuel from tank to filter to injector pump but cant get it threw , took lines off pump but still wont pump . Fuel comes back from tank on return line top of injectors down to pump . need help
Was running when parked. How do I prime the pump

Hi, put the STOP/START/RUN lever in START
position, throttle about 1/4 open and crank
engine. Usually I only loosen one or two injector
lines at the rear of the pump. The other thing I
do is slightly pressurize the fuel tank with a
clean cloth wrapped around an air gun stuffed in
the fuel tank opening.
DO NOT crank the starter for extended periods of
time without a cool off period.

Adding to what Jim said, I"ve used the shop-vac hose set on blow into the tank with a few rags around it - that works too to get the fuel all the way through the lines.

When I have had fuel problems on my 454s I have found that having a full tank helps get fuel through, so much so that, for instance, I would not dream of changing the fuel filter without filling the tank to the brim. Also check that the tank outlet is not partially blocked by removing the tap and checking for a healthy flow, or disconnect the input pipe to the fuel filter and check there.
