I put everything back together without pressing drum onto the shaft and there wasn't any thread sticking out to get the nut on. So it looks like I have to press the drum onto the shaft. The problem is there is nothing to press against because the shaft floats in the housing. (at least in mine it does. Maybe it isn't supposed to?)
