I bought this F12 conversion at the Clark co {VA}steam engine show over the week end.At first my thought was to get rid of the front end becaues I like orginality, but the more I look at this thing the more I like it.I have several F series but I think this is cool

Keep the wide front!!!That is a Wonderful piece of history! A farmer needed something that wasnt available or he could not afford one.So he made his own.A real testimoney to the ingenuity of the American farmer. There 1000s of 'factory' fronts, but only ONE of those.I garantee there will be LOTS more interest/conversation over that front than the same old factory front.Clean it up,paint it,but keep it!! Priceless!

Jimmy the front has some 'factory' looks.Modified from another tractor?I have an F12 that I grafted a SuperC wide front to.Can you get some pictures? Please? Thanks Steve

James, I to was thinking about originality. But you are right! it is still an F-12 wide front.
I have an original wide front that I have never mounted because I was ashamed if it. Some farmer had broke it, But did a nice job shaping steel on the cast and welding. It looks very strong and heavy. I guess I should just mount it and not worry about it. oldiron29

Yes you should mount the wide front and not worry. Most people have never seen a wide F12/20/30...The fact that its been repaired doesnt mean squat...
