International 2400 B Parts-Fuel Bowl

Hey Yall,

I am in need of some parts for my International 2400B tractor. The Case IH website only offers parts for the 2400 A series. Is the parts for A series same as B?

I am in need of a fuel bowl for the D-179 Diesel engine. It recently broke.

Hi, D-179 could have Bosch or CAV fuel filters.

D-179, used in 454,464,495 ag models to name a
few.
If they are CAV type should be available from any
Diesel shop that services Perkins Diesels or
Massey Ferguson tractors.

Thanks Jim,

They are definetely CAV type, it has the metal rod that goes through the bottom up to the top. I just bought some new filters but they did not come with the glass bowl. I will do some checking around on monday and will give the CASE IH dealer the part number you gave me.

I had the same problem, got my bowls from tractor
supply store, after they broke again, I converted my
filters to the spin on, and got rid of the glass
bowls, no more breakage

I may have one bowl left, I will look in the am, if
I have it u can have it

I have 2 fuel bowls u r welcome to, just send me a
address to get them 2 u, I know u need them NOW, but
those will break and then u will have spares

yes , with diesel engine, I converted my glass bowls
to spin on fuel filters

Where did you get your spin on filters? I would really like to do that instead of keeping these (I really have a hatred for these now).

dealership, i will look to c if I have the box and
the part numbers, I know it wasnt cheap, u have to
do away with the part that the glass bowl goes on
with the screw and the filters, I bought a bunch on-
line, ebay, someone had some dirt cheap

I have seen some universal spin on filter bases on ebay for $30. I was thinking about just getting that one and doing away with the CAV filters. I would have to cut the metal line and splice into them with a rubber line so that I could hook it up. Im just so tired of trying to find something on these old leaky filters.
