Run out of gas on just when you get to the field?
Neighbor mowed most of the field for hay, I was just going to brush hog the ends.

because you didn't check the tank ? ya I know want to do a quick job in a hurry and that's what happens.

because it is faster to walk home, find a gas can, jump in truck, get to tractor and fill, get the truck back home, walk back to tractor, than it is to check fuel level b/4 leaving home.....just sayin

Mine likes to run out not only in the farthest field, but at the farthest point in the field. Doesn't happen too often, though, so it's usually pretty funny.

That is why I put 8-N Ford sediment bowls in my tractors,(built in reserve) two more turns on the knob, and you can drive it to the truck!

When I was a kid Dad run LP conversion tractors with the gas "bottle" mounted in front of the tractor. They pulled gas, not liquid LP, off the top of the bottle. If one run out of gas not too far from home, he could pee on the tank and that would seem to raise the pressure in the tank just enough to make it home.
