504 diesel or gas 574

I have been looking for a while at getting a smaller tractor to do some haying with, mostly raking, running around with a square baler, and sitting on an elevator. May use it on the mower if it would be able to pull the 9 ft disk mower. The question is, would I be better off with a diesel 504 or a gas 574, and why? I am considering each, the 504 has 6500 hour and they want $3,000 for it. The 574 has a loader (may take that off), 5,050 hours and they want $4,500 for it.
Thanks for any info.

574....more common as that series made longer. Better tractor anyways.

Gas is only drawback....

I doubt it would run a 9 foot disk mower well unless it's a shaft drive 3pt set up minus conditioner.

Well, it ended up I went and got the 504 diesel, now I see recommendations going the other way... Big part was being cheaper, and pretty good condition. Seems that there is a glow plug out and maybe an injector or valve issue, but still seemed to run pretty good. Also when you get to higher speeds, it doesn't like to go in a strait line. Likes to all the sudden jerk to the other side. He said there may be a way to make this better. I would think there would be, because this just doesn't seem right.
