can anyone please tell me what for oil to run in the injection pump and hit also has a how much it holds? It also has a TA just wondering what for oil to use in the rear end and how much? thanks in advance Ed

no oil for the T/A. those clutchs stay dry.
30 wt oil for the injector pump and 80 140 for the rear end.
there are other places to put oil in. get your self an I T manual and be safe. dont put oil where its not supposed to be.

Fifteen gallons of Hy-tran (or equivalent) in transmission, & final drive. Pto rear unit is separate and also requires two quarts Hy-tran. Pump uses same oil as used in engine and just fill to level petcock. If pump leaks some diesel into pump you will want to check oil level before each time you use it and depending on how much it leaks, drain it down or change it often. Only holds a cup full.

I have one. I run a HD 30wt in the pump and 15-40 in the crankcase. Hy-tran or equivalent in the rear, pto and pto drive reservoir.

You are correct that the TA clutch runs dry but the low side is a planetary unit with an overrunning clutch that does run in oil. The overrunning clutch consists of a ramp and roller assembly. The rollers do not like heavy oil and can cause problems if used with heavy oil. That is why the change was made to HyTran.

and don't believe everything you read on the internet

The T/A, Transmission,Rearend and PTO all run in Hy-Trans oil. 80-140 is to heavy for the T/A and the T/A is feed from the oil in trans and rearend.

thank you. i stand corrected on the type of oil used in the rear end. must have been thinking about an H.
