Super a Cam and Freeze plug

I am doing a total rebuild of a super a engine. Does anyone have a source for the two disc type expansion plugs. One is in the water jacket and the other the cam. One is a 2 inch and the other is 1-5/8.

Common Core Plug or Welch plug or expansion plug. NAPA will have them as well as others. They are used to get core sand out of a casting, or provide milling/boring access. They can be forced out by freezing, but that is not the intent. Jim

If you don"t have a REAL auto parts store nearby with guys that know how to find basic parts, FIAT, dba CIH, has them, but PRICEY.

The 1-5/8" plug, #172576, is over $7, and the 2" plug, #63556R1, is almost $12!

With some seaching, you can find the soft plugs in brass. they cost more but over the years they are worth it.
