IH 684 Hyd Fluid Filter Change

I've finally changed the fluid & filter & it's like a new tractor, the hydraulics are so responsive now, I think if I'd had a bale on the loader on the first use, it would have chucked it over the roof!!!!! As suggested by someone on this forum, the Filter By-Pass Valve was fitted on the wrong side of the filter!!! Only question now is, brakes are fine, I've not had to bleed them & with the pedals locked, the work very well & the pedal is nice and firm but independently, they don't work, as I push one pedal the other rises and the brake doesn't work. Is this something bleeding would solve?? It seems there maybe some sort of valve issue!!! But then again, I doubt I'll ever use them independently so it's not too much of an issue, just one of those niggly, annoying things that you know should work!!

Glad to hear its working!!

On the brakes there must be adequate tension in the pedal return springs to hold the pedals up against the stop, they should not see-saw ??you need my documents on the brake system, drop me your e mail address!!
