engine specifications on H

Where can I find the engine spec's for the IHC 153 combine and power unit? Are they the same as the H and are the parts the same?

153 is derived from a 113 A-B-C-100 ETC Small engine. It shares few parts with those though. It is sleeveless and must be bored and OS pistons used to rebuild when worn. Many are used for transplant into Pullers (light classes) to mak a C into an M. Jim

The C153 has the same bore and stroke as the H but are different engine families. The H motor is referred to as a 152 to tell them apart.

Along with the (2)504 the C153 was also used in the US version of the (2)444.

How big a sleeve is available for the SC123 or can you remove the sleeves and bore the block? I am looking for the easier solution to increase the CID.

(quoted from post at 14:36:05 07/19/13) late 123 can be sleeved to 135. That is it IIRC. Jim

To get a 123 up to a 135 also requires a change in crankshaft.

Standard bore for a 123 is 3.125". Oversize pistons and sleeves are 3.25, the same as the C135. However, the C135 also uses a crankshaft with a stroke of 4.0625 versus the 4.000 used in the 113 and 123 engines. Using the 3.250 pistons and the 4.00 crankshaft leaves you with a 132 engine.

There is also a C146 engine that was not used very much. It is basically a C153 block with a C135 crankshaft.

Bore and stroke for all the engines in this family are as follows:
C113 - 3.00 X 4.00
C123 - 3.125 X 4.00
C132 - 3.25 X 4.00
C135 - 3.25 X 4.0625
C146 - 3.375 X 4.0625
C153 - 3.375 X 4.25
